It’s use my tangle week
over at i am the diva and we are using EAXY, a tangle by Nadine Roller, CZT. I had
started this Renaissance tile that I had sprayed with a couple of colors of
liquid watercolors, with the beginnings of Gourdeous, so decided that I would
finish that out, and use EAXY as the background. I didn’t find this an easy
tangle to keep even, so decided to embrace the going with the flow, and just
let it change scale as it wanted to. My chop even fits in this one and almost becomes part of the pattern. I am still in my fall kick, so added a bit
of color pencil to brighten it up here and there. I think that is is going to
become a card for Thanksgiving for my Hubby.
Thanks for stopping by,
and for all of your lovely comments!
They do make my day!
Have a great weekend and
Tangle on!
Gorgeous idea with wonderful colours :-) Gudrun S.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I like to see smaller and bigger Eaxy's, it is really a nice result with a beautiful drawn Gordgeous and lovely colors.
ReplyDeleteThat gorgeous Gourdgeous really lives up to its name and your use of colour is inspired.
ReplyDeleteI really like this tile ... from the use of color and a beautiful gourdgeous to a great use of eaxy. I kept getting lost with the pattern, esp. on the edges. Yet, I love the pattern and hope to master it.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful tile Kate!! I love eaxy with different scales !! And the colours and gourdgeous is also very awesome:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for trying and sharing and best wishes from rainy Cologne, Nadine
The difference in density you got using different sizes of EAXY's is interesting. Inspiring tile!πππ
ReplyDeletea gourdgeous tile with the high focus eaxy in de background. Cool how you managed to do different sizes of the pattern.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely this tile with al the Eaxy in the background in different sizes. It looks that you made it easy. Great!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of letting Eaxy flow and changing the size as you go... I had the problem of after a point I couldn't fit in the next row so I'd find a way to end the pattern. Love the colors and the gourdeous is wonderful with the blue. I wasn't able to find your chop, so it really did become part of the pattern.
ReplyDeleteSuch an eye-catching tile, Kate! First the beautiful, vibrant colors and then the graceful curves of Gourdgeous juxtaposed on the cracked glass effect of Eaxy. Really beautiful!! :)
ReplyDeleteI might have stopped too soon with my Eaxy attempts. Your decision to "go with the flow" seems to have been very effective. I'm sure your husband will be pleased with his Thanksgiving card. I don't "do" TG cards, but I think I should adopt the idea of giving one to my husband since he is such a big part of all the things for which I am grateful.
ReplyDeleteI love your tile. The Gordgeous is gorgeous and the Eaxy is a perfect background. It reminds me of stained or cracked glass. Overall, a great composition.
ReplyDeleteI think you did quite well with this difficult tangle. I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteWow, you've made such a beautiful piece of art with these (quite difficult to me) tangles!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tile! Love your Gourdgeos with the Eaxy background! Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteAmazing composition!
ReplyDeleteStunning colors! I love the flow in Eaxxy, and how it contrasts with Gourdgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors and composition with these two tangles!
