Weekly Challenge #146: DouTangle

I wonder if Laura over at i am the diva, heard my groans when I read this weeks challenge! Pea-nuckle and Well! Well, I really like “Well”, but Pea-nuckle not so much. I surely didn’t know how I was going to get these two to play together well, for this duo-tangle challenge. I pondered for a day, and this is what I came up with. I am double dipping by doing this on an ATC size card of the new Renaissance tiles, for the deck swap. I am enjoying learning how to work with this beautiful colored tile. No, the Renaissance tiles do not come in the ATC size yet. I just took one of the regular tiles, traced the edge of one of the regular ATC cards and carefully cut the edge! Walla! an ATC Renaissance card.

I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know that I have much to be thankful for this year! My thanks to all of you that have chosen to follow me on my journey here on my blog, and for the wonderful support you have shown!

My Blessings to You and Yours.

More on the Weekly Challenge #145

I wanted to play around a bit more with quib this week. Here is my second piece, using the new Renaissance tiles. I used the black and brown micron pens, graphite, white and ocre brulle prismacolor pencil, white charcoal pencil and a little white gelly roll pen. It has been fun playing on the new tiles.

Here are a few of the ATC’s that have been in the works, around my house, for the deck swap.

My thanks to you all for stopping by and leaving comments! Have a great week!

Weekly Challenge #145

Ahh, Quib, this weeks challenge from i am the diva. I first used this after it was released to the CZT’s, on Weekly Challenge #129. You can see that example here.
I was continuing to work on my ATC’s this past Sunday and used it on this card that will be part of the deck swap that some of us are working on. I made it play with “Well” that day. So here is my first piece for the challenge this week. I have another in the works, so I’ll be back!

My thanks to those of you who stop by to see my work,
and You Rock! when you leave a comment too!

Weekly Challenge #144 A Bug's Life

Here is my entry for the, i am the diva weekly challenge this week. I ran across all of these neat beetles in my research and decided that I just had to hold one in my hand! I am also busy with 53 ATC (artist trading cards) zentangles for a trade, so stay tuned for some of these to show up here too. For now, here is my ZIA hand. I don’t currently have any Gellyroll pens, so this was done with Copic markers and colored micron pens instead.

My thanks to all who stop by and see what I have been up to, and those of you that take the time to comment, You Rock!

Weekly Challenge #143 UMT Week!

Wow! I can’t believe that we are already into another month. With the end of the quarter, and all the grading to do at school, time is flying by for this teacher! It’s already use my tangle time over at i am the diva’s weekly challenge, and this week it’s Caren Mlot’s tangle, Cruze, that we are all trying out. You can find the step outs here. I decided since time is so very short for me right now, to try this out on an ATC tile, and still continue to experiment with the black and brown combination. I used a bit of white, sanguine and burnt sienna Derwent drawing pencil in there too. If I have time later in the week, I would like to try out some of the variations and see if I can get this one to be a bit more organic, but for now here is my version of using Cruze.

As always your comments and visits to see what I have been up to, are very much appreciated! Have a great week!
