Weekly Challenge #344

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

Welcome to December! I am getting increasingly busy as I am sure that all of you are. I have been following along with Chris@Destress December, and trying to do a bit of destressing myself. A shout out, and Thanks Chris! I keep continuing to play with Dewd and used it along with Afterglo for the Diva Challenge this week. I am doing some double duty and trying to use my challenge tiles, and whatever I am doing for fun, work for my Christmas present gift tags too.

Here are a couple of more Dewds!

And here are the beautiful mosaics of my tile for the 10th Tangle mosaic project that Annette P. gifted me. Thanks, Annette.

Weekly Challenge #343

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

The challenge over at the diva this week is to use the new tangle Dewd! I have been having some fun with this one since it was released so decided to see if I could make it a bit more festive for the season.  I am trying to get a head start on some of my gift tags this year instead of leaving it until the last minute and this will be one.

I know that this one is going to stay in use for me as I can see using it in lots of different ways.

Weekly Challenge #342

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

The challenge from the diva this week is to use Bunzo and Paradox in a duotangle. I only had a wee bijou tile with me today, so here is mine. It’s like the Bunzo became the barnacles on the Paradox!

I also launched a couple of RAZ’s, random acts of zentangle out into the world this week. Both of them at school…. One of the students knew it was me, so now I am going to be doing an after school class for a few of them.

Here are a few others that I either finished from my starts pile, or worked on this week. I have been enjoying working with Dewd!

 Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Enjoy!

Weekly Challenge #341

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

The challenge from the diva this week is “Go Big (Or Go Home)” I had some fun with this one trying out both the new Sakura Gelly Roll #10 and the new tangle from HQ called “Dewd”. I worked on the larger Black Apprentice tiles.

My tile and some of the plants in my room.

Don’t know if you can really see it in the photo (maybe a little) but there is some shading on the white using graphite, and in person it has a very nice gray silver shimmer to it.

See the slight shimmer?

It was enjoyable for me to work a little larger and with a thicker pen, and it sure made doing the tile go a bit faster too.

Weekly Challenge #340

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

The challenge over at the diva is a use my tangle challenge, UMT, Wibble by Shawna Martin. I had fun trying to make mine meander in size and direction across the tile and somehow, along the way, someone else "photo bombed" or should I say "Tangle Bombed" the tangle!

Weekly Callenge #337

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

I am back after a rocky late summer and early fall. My Hubby who many of you know has been dealing with frontal temporal dementia for the past few years, I am saddened to say, passed away in late July. This summer and fall for me was so bitter sweet. I will miss him always and cherish the time that we had together on this earth. I did tangle here and there to keep my sanity, but never seemed to get the time or the energy to post them. Now that I am back teaching and have the classroom up and running I was determined to get my tile up this week for the diva challenge. Hopefully I will be around more often.

Happy Birthday to you Artoo!

Weekly Challenge #319

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!
This week at the diva the challenge is BEad Inspired, a tribute to Artoo and his beads of courage.

Beads of courage is an arts in medicine program that helps kids with chronic or life threatening illness tell the story of their medical journey.  Each bead represents something different.  A different procedure or appointment, or special circumstance.  For example, when seeing, a doctor or getting a poke instead of getting a sticker when they leave, they are given a glass bead for each thing.  (blue for doctor, black for poke... some other beads are yellow=night in the hospital, pink=respiratory support, magenta=trip to emergent care, teal=tube insertion or removal, rainbow=therapy; physical, speech, occupational, respiratory) and every child's string is different and unique to their story.
Here are my beads of courage for you Artoo.

I have also been playing around with Dingbatz, and they have been so fun to do. Here are my first ones.

Weekly Challenge #318

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

Crazy times for me as it is the last week of school for the kids, which means this teacher is super busy grading and trying to wrap things up for the year. Quickly finished this one up for the diva challenge of Diptychs this morning. I had started the challenge on a little bijou, and then started a second tile. I grabbed them both together to move them to another spot in the room and thought that they looked pretty fun together, so out came the glue stick and this became my tile.

Weekly Challenge #315 and IAST #193

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

The diva challenge this week is Molygon. I admit, this one I struggle with occasionally. I seem to get my spacing off, or the ends to rounded or to pointed, and it just doesn’t flow well for me most of the time. I still haven’t given up on it yet, but I can say that it is not going to be one of my mac and cheese tangles. Here is my tile for this week

The IAST #193, Tiles for Lily
I so admire Lily’s work and wish her the best as she goes through this difficult time. Here is my tile, with love for Lily and her family.

Lastly another little bijou to be launched out as RAZ, random act of Zentangle.
