Weekly Challenge #269

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!
I hadn’t gotten around to trying the new tangle Ellish yet, so the diva challenge this week was just what I needed. Worked with 6th grade kids during class today to try it out. They are finishing out their school year making Zentangles and are really excited about this. I had a couple of kids that wanted me to teach them how to tangle Ellish today, but I asked if they would give me until next class to practice, as this was the first time that I had used it. They are looking forward to learning it next time.  I can see that this tangle is going to become a favorite of mine, as it really is fun to do. I also enjoyed playing with the shading!

Weekly Challenge #268 and IAST #145

Happy Friday Fellow Tanglers!

It is beautiful spring weather here and lots of warm sunshine. I am looking forward to maybe getting a bit of gardening done this weekend.  Had a bit of extra time this week and decided on a second tile, and followed a couple of other people’s idea to make the tile work for more than one challenge.  Here is the tile that works for Adele Bruno’s, “It’s a String Thing”, and also works for my second tile in the diva’s challenge this week for “A bit-o-black”. I used Watercolor, Color pencil, Clear glaze pen, micron and graphite for this one.

Have a Wonderful Weekend

Weekly Challenge #268

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

Happy hump day! I have been busy pushing the kiddos at school to finish projects now that the end of the school year is fast approaching. Sixteen school days left, but who is counting! (OK, I am) With an A-day B-day schedule that means only eight more times for us to get it done!  The challenge this week over at i am the diva is to use a “bit-o-black. I had some fun using a couple of new to me tangles. Batumber, a combination of Twing and Kuke by fellow CZT IX, Kelly Kelly, and ‘dillo by Lori Manoogian, throw in a bit of Printemps and done!

Weekly Challenge #266

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!
The challenge over at i am the diva, is a use my tangle week, with Henrike Bratz’s tangle Crux. The rain has finally stopped, and now it looks like I am going to have to break out the lawn mower for the first mowing.

 Crux and Well.

I also made these tiles that will be used as RAZ, random acts of zentangle in the care home where my husband lives. The staff takes such good care of him, so I often will leave tiles around as a special treat for them to find.
