Greetings Fellow
Tanglers!
Happy hump day! I have
been busy pushing the kiddos at school to finish projects now that the end of
the school year is fast approaching. Sixteen school days left, but who is
counting! (OK, I am) With an A-day B-day schedule that means only eight more
times for us to get it done! The
challenge this week over at i am the diva is to use a “bit-o-black. I had some
fun using a couple of new to me tangles. Batumber, a combination of Twing and
Kuke by fellow CZT IX, Kelly Kelly, and ‘dillo by Lori Manoogian, throw in a
bit of Printemps and done!
Thanks for stopping by,
and for all of your lovely comments!
They do make my day!
Have a great week and
Tangle on!
I just looked at someone else's response to the challenge who also used Batumber. I love the way, two different people using the same tangle can come up with different, but equally pleasing, tiles. I think you nailed the right amount of black. I think I'm going to be more inclined to incorporate black after this challenge.
ReplyDeleteI love this beautiful tile with well chosen tangles and nice dramatic black accents
ReplyDeleteI love all the little flourishes, the heart in the dillo, the little pearly border at the bottom right, black pearls in the middle of bat umber, and the scalloped edges.
ReplyDeleteLove your choices of tangles with the Batumber!
ReplyDeleteLovely! This is such an elegant and striking composition.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tile. I don't know how you fit everything in with all that teaching
ReplyDeleteWonderful tile! I like your combination of tangles.
ReplyDeleteI love this tile, Kate! I haven't tried Batumber yet, but your rendition is giving me a nudge to draw it. And I agree with Suzanne - a little more black in my tiles! I do love contrast. Thanks for posting! xo
