Weekly Challenge #156

The challenge from i am the diva this week is "Curvy Gridlock". Using grid patterns in curvy or uneven grids. I have been really busy getting ready for parent teacher conferences this week, so just had time for one ATC, using this idea. It is however something that I use quite often, and I really wish I would have had more time to play this week. Here is my “curvy gridlock” using Well, Beelight, Yincut, and Cubine.

Thank all of you so much for the lovely comments last week, on my new tangle Tropicana, which you can see here. I can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Enjoy and have a great weekend!

More on Weekly Challenge #155

I said in my first post this week that I thought we might end of shoveling snow again at the end of this week and boy was I right! This is what I woke up to this morning.

Here is a view down out street, after we were plowed out.

Here I am standing in front of the snow bank, next to the driveway. It’s actually taller than I am, even though it doesn’t show exactly that in this photo, (I am blaming the photographer, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it) and that is saying something since I am almost 6 foot.

I also would like to introduce you to a new pattern that I have deconstructed. (Drum roll…..) Here is Tropicana. I had fun last weekend figuring it out, from of all things, a lid. Hope you like it, and let me know if you post something that you used it on. I would love to see what your rendition looks like.

Here is a tile using it and leaving a little white space.

Have a great weekend, stay warm, and keep tangling!

Weekly Challenge #155

It’s been a busy week for me so far. It started with lots of snow to shovel, then a bunch of grading to get finished, and it sounds like before the week is out there will be more shoveling to do!
The challenge from i am the diva this week is “A Little White Space”. I ended up using a string from TanglePatterns.com. This is my tile using TanglePatterns String 075 created by our own Maria Thomas. Hope you like it and enjoy a little white space.

Thank you for all your kind comments. They make my day! Happy tangling!

Weekly Challenge #154

Happy Valentangle!

The diva challenge for this week is to work on a Valentangle, a term that CZT Nancy Lubin came up with. Thanks Nancy!
I have been working on a few different ones this week and still have a few in the works. Here is the first batch.

I also sent out some others to a swap that I am participating in. These were done with pens and copics, and I really had some fun with the color.

Everyone have a great week, and Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours!

Weekly Challenge #153

Greetings to all! Still dealing with the cold here, and the good old ground hog says at least 6 more weeks of winter! Ha! I could have told you that, it’s Minnesota after all.

I had fun with the UMT challenge from CZT, Sadelle Wiltshire. Her tangle, Jailed Johnny was picked for the i am the diva challenge for the week.

I am still working away on my deck for the swap, so it was another ATC for this one. I am getting pretty close to being done, so you may see a few more photos coming your way once I get them all the way done. When I have a bit more time, I will have to try this tangle out some other sizes as I really had fun with it. It’s been a busy end to January and start to February, with my Husband’s birthday last Friday, and mine today!

Everyone have a great week and keep tangling!
Thanks for all your comments, they really keep me going!
