Weekly Challenge #313

The challenge at the diva this week is a tile for Earth Day, or as one of her sons named it Amanda day. I had wanted to try out Simone Menzel’s new tangle PRAA, and thought that this might be the time to pull out something organic. You can find her step out here. I used one of my tiles dyed with liquid watercolor, pen and color pencil and a bit of white gel pen.

I also left this little bijou good luck RAZ (Random Act of Zentangle) using a variation of Rixty at one of the eateries that I frequent.

Lastly here is a mosaic of my quarter 4 students first tiles. They seem to really be enjoying trying out this art form.

Weekly Challenge #312

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

I hope that everyone had a great Easter, and is enjoying the spring weather. The challenge this week at the diva is a Coffee, Tea, or Me challenge, or in other words spilled, dripped or blotted things. In my case I used a tile that I have been using as a coaster at school, that was stained with you guessed it coffee. Can’t live without it in my world!
I kept it pretty simple with two tangles, Enyshou and Jetties. It’s looking like another busy week, so that’s all folks!

Weekly Challenge #311

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

The challenge over at i am the diva this week is Circle Square String Theory. Somewhere in your tile you have to use at least one of each. I only had my basic supplies with me so here is my tile using, Well, Tipple, and Jetties. I really enjoyed shading this one.

Here is my IAST 191 tile. I didn’t get it done in time to send it in, but thought I would share it will you and wish everyone a Happy Easter! I plan on taking this up to my hubby in memory care for a bit of Easter cheer, so I was pretty literal with the string, and the coloring of this Zia.

I also finished a couple of travelling tiles too. I played a little more with Frunky, added some more Nipa, and a bit of Aura-Leah.

Heidi Whitney’s delicate start using Nipa.

I used some Well and Buttercup to finish this one.

Heidi’s start with Molygon.

Weekly Challenge #310

Greetings Fellow Tanglers!

The challenge from the diva this week is a UMT (use my tangle) and we are using Frunky by Katharina Königsbauer-Kolb. I really liked working with this tangle, and can see that it will be one of those that could easily go into my mac and cheese tangles. I used a watercolor dyed tile, then graphite and charcoal for highlights and shading. I decided to leave it as a monotangle.
