Greetings to everyone
today! Laura and family were celebrating Thanksgiving in Canada this week, so
we waited a day for the, i am the diva challenge to come out. It looks like
they had a fabulous time! Our challenge this week was a UMT, “Yuma” by Tina-AKUA, CZT. You can find the
step outs for her tangle here. I decided to actually make it a mono-tangle for
this first go around, and add a bit of fall color too. I like the overall way
that it turned out but was unhappy with the Black ink smearing a bit when I
went in with my colorless blender to blend the color pencil that I had added. I
have not had that happen before. No time at the moment to re-do, as it’s back
into Parent/Teacher conferences for me this evening. Maybe later in the week I
can try another.
Here is another of the Bijou tiles using Hypnotic. I think it’s going to go into a necklace for later this
month!
My thanks to you for
stopping by, and also to those who leave such lovely comments!
You make my day!
Have a great week and
Tangle On!
I don't see where your black Color smeared. I am entranced with your challenge tile The Colors are fantastic! It's so striking.
ReplyDeleteThe tiles are very different; the one delicate and subtle, both in style and in colour, the other, bold and dramatic. Very nice work.
ReplyDelete....don't know what to say.....fantastic comes close may be. have anice week and thanks a lot.
ReplyDeleteNice! Very nice! Both would make beautiful pieces of jewellery.
ReplyDeletelovely tile as always, I like the Yuma within Yuma idea. I certainly can't see any smudges of black - I think that sort of thing is in the eye of the artist. So well drawn and coloured
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Yuma; I don't see the black ink smearing...!
ReplyDeleteYour Yuma tile is great, I like the way it's shining. And the Bijou, The depth in it is great!!!
ReplyDeletekate, the step-out for "STONESTORY", you finde it on my blog on the right. there should be written blog-archiv, right under my profile. thank you for liking it.
ReplyDeleteWhat ink smudge? These are stunning tiles. That orange & black, in particular, did me in!
ReplyDeletethey're both pretty. I like the color pallette in your challenge tile, and the shiny quality of the orange and black pice...I see why you want to make a pendant of it. Your precision of line is impeccable in both pieces. Well done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Yuma Tile. Love the close up Yuma pattern framing the fill Yuma Pattern. Such a creative design. Wonderful use of color and the pen work makes a wonderful shimmer. The Bijou Tile is lovely, bright, and colorful. It will certainly make an attractive necklace.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous tile with Yuma! Great colours and wonderful linework! Your bijou tile is wonderful, too!
ReplyDeleteAha----a design inside a design. Good idea, nicely executed.
ReplyDeleteVery effective texture!
ReplyDeleteI like your Interpretation (outside in - inside out). And the added Color works perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful 2-dimensional Yuma. I love how you created the two layers. The colors add even more visual impact.
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful 🌻
ReplyDeleteA fantastic Yuma tile. I like the colours very much.
ReplyDeleteLove your yuma in the yuma tile. Great colors and a very creative solution to this challenge!
ReplyDeleteSehr schöne Verwicklung und eine schöne Farbauswahl
ReplyDeleteLove both tiles. Do you coat the tile with acrylic before making the necklace? I have though about making some jewelry with the designs, but am so busy playing with them that I haven't gotten around to it.
ReplyDeleteI like. The tangle inside the tangle idea! And the black smearing you speak of doesn't show up at all in my view. Nice.
