The challenge from the diva was to relax and get back some of that Zen while tangling this week. I
almost always tangle this way. This past year especially. It has been my escape
from the dealings with my husband’s dementia and all that that entails. I
started this on out with a basic string, and used some of my go to tangles,
ones that I didn’t have to think about.
Tangles used; Onamato,
Printempts, Paradox, Purk, Yincut, Poke Leaf, and Poke Root.
For the second little
bijou I just started without a string and let it go where it wanted to go.
Tangles used: Tipple,
Printempts, Zinger, Poke Leaf, Herzlbee, Schnucki-bee-Doo, Msst.
Thanks for stopping by,
and for all of your lovely comments!
They do make my day!
Have a great weekend and
Tangle on!
Beautiful tiles. I think this basic way of tangling is different from when you plan an outcome. I feel harmony looking at this.
ReplyDeleteReally nice tile and beautifully drawn. Loved the little Bijou tile!👍😀
ReplyDeleteThis is a very good challenge, brings us all back to basics and proves that those results are beautiful. I like your results very much.
ReplyDeleteNice pieces. It amazes me to see how so many tangles can fit into a Bijou tile. I have two tins of them and have never even tried using one. You may have motivated me to do so.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, classic Zentangle tiles. I love where your Bijou tile wanted to go. :) And "Schnucki-bee-Doo"!!! Hadn't heard of it, but the Wizard knew (my pet name for google.com). I love it! With stepout in hand, I think I'll go tangle for awhile ... Thank you Kate! xoxo
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful. I'm so pleased to hear that tangling (in the way it was ment to be done) helps you in this difficult part of your life.
ReplyDeleteWe share some go to tangles, I see! Zentangling really is an excellent way to take care of ourselves. Its great that you usually do it as a meditation. I find it helpful, too. These are lovely tiles.
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful, but the second One stole my heart.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so lovely Kate! I especially love the detailing on Purk. I may have to lift that;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely tiles! All your tangles are beautiful, but my eye was drawn to your Poke-Leaf and Poke-Root - love them.
ReplyDeleteExquisite! Very beautiful. Love the way poke leaf and root is peeking out in the first tile.
ReplyDeleteI did this challenge, but never posted it. I'm glad you found it relaxing. The results are very pleasing to look at also.
ReplyDeleteBoth tiles are great but I really love the bijou tile! It's so flowery, very nice :-)
