Greeting everyone! I
wonder if Laura over at i am the diva, heard the big groan that I gave out when
I read this weeks DouTangle challenge. I love Well, but Punzel and I have one of those
love, hate relationships. I love the way it looks, but I can’t ever get mine to
be as even as I would like. I even had
some of the other CZT’s at Tangle U, show me how they did theirs, and got it so
nice and even. Their tricks still haven’t worked for me, so I am going to
follow Maria’s advice from her latest blog post, and embrace the imperfections!
Here is my piece for the challenge this week.
My thanks to all of you
who leave such lovely comments, I so appreciate them!
Have a Terrific Tuesday
and Keep Tangling!
So pretty! Love the colors on this!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a beauty. Looks awesome to me!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty!!! And so sharp! Awesome job!!
ReplyDeleteThat's striking beautigul. What do you use for coloring? Brush pens?
ReplyDeleteI used both black and sepia micron pens. The color on this one was added with Prismacolor color pencils. Shading on some parts was done with graphite. Hope this helps! :)
DeleteI like Punzel, wrapped in lovely flowers. Great coloring too.
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous!! I love the color combo! :0) Share Humanity
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful Kate! I am still groaning and am yet to put pen to paper!!! It's bad!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love it! The colors are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI think in Maria's post she also meant that "perfection" can quash "personality". I enjoy artwork with personality much more than with "perfection". Having said that - I think your Punzel has both personality and is pretty flawless as well. Also the colors and the flow make it a lovely piece.
ReplyDeleteGood call on going with the imperfections!! It's perfect. Never saw a Punzel I loved more.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's beautiful. You're line work is so delicate. I am struggling to get Punzel to behave for me too - but images like yours make me persevere!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kate. Your soul must be very happy!
ReplyDeleteVery nice tile! So happy and summer-like!
ReplyDeleteLove what you've done here! Really wonderful combination of Well and Punzel. And lovely colours. Axxx
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of us groaned on this one. I see no imperfection and wish I could do mine as "imperfectly" as you!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the colours :)
ReplyDeleteI think this turned out very even, great job! i love your colors, too. Very cheerful and very designy. have a great week. Thank you for commenting on my blog.
ReplyDeletei love your use of colour and how you ended Punzel. Very nice how Punzel is so tight at the top of the page and loosens up as it flows.
ReplyDeleteNice job. As others have commented, I think the evenness is over rated. The difference can provide a sense of movement and character.
