Greeting fellow Tanglers!
I am awaiting the start of the snow as we are in a winter storm warning here in
Minnesota, we are going to get hit by winter storm Kayla! (I think it is so
funny that they now name the storms!) No one seems to know how much we are
going to get, but I have heard anywhere from 3 to 10 inches mentioned,
depending who you are listening to, and where the line cuts. We haven’t had any
large snowfalls this year, so in a strange sort of way I am looking forward to
it, with the exception of the commute to and from school. It will not be nearly
enough to call off school for us. Oh how I do miss those random snow days that
one would get when you are more rural. My sister who teaches in northern Iowa
already knew last night that she would not have school today as they are in a
blizzard warning.
Moving on to the diva challenge this week using Molygon. I am still working on getting the ends of
mine the way that I would like them and some of the pieces are a bit wonky, but
for what it’s worth here are two tiles that I worked on this week.
Here is another playing
with all sorts of fills for the inside of the shape. I think that I am going to
paste this into my Zentangle book and keep adding more as I think of them, or
see them in others work, so I can have a whole selection of possibilities.
Thanks for stopping by,
and for all of your lovely comments!
They do make my day!
Have a great week and
Tangle on!
Well done! The one on the top is talking to me a lot!
ReplyDeleteLovely, I like the contrasting backgrounds of the first one but the one with the different fillings is very interesting
ReplyDeleteLove your first one with the contrast between dark and light. I think you're right about endless possibilities with this tangle. I'm still practicing in my sketchbook, but I think I'll be heading for a tile soon!
ReplyDeleteThe 3 are beautiful, and I specially love the third one
ReplyDeleteVery very nice, especially the first one, lovely contrasts makes this tile a real masterpiece
ReplyDeleteThose are all so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAll so beautiful, Kate! The first is my favorite, if I had to choose.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the first one. The black background is unexpected and stunning.
ReplyDeleteSuch different work based on the one pattern. I think the first one, wonky or not, is very classy.
ReplyDeleteAll are great, I can not decide for any favorite!
ReplyDeleteWow, all 3 are great. I love the variety, you've mastered them all.
ReplyDeleteThey are all delightful! Plus I did not spot a wonky line among them. Very nice imagination at work here.
ReplyDeleteLovely tiles, Kate! I really like the shading on the first one, but all three are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAll three are wonderful and so different! Great variety of Molygon!
ReplyDeleteI love them all - each one expresses a different feeling.
ReplyDeleteAll three tiles are beautiful. The first one is my favourtite... Because of the simplicty and the contrast it is very elegant!
ReplyDeleteThey are all so lovely but I especially love the last one 😊
ReplyDeleteLove the movement in the first. Looks like is just floating along. Like the white on black also. Your second looks almost like it could be a broach.
ReplyDeleteWow! That first tile is STUNNING! Thanks for your kind comments on my blog :)
