It is Birthday Leaves for the challenge over at i am the diva
this week. I had a lot of fun doing this little Zia. I first used a watercolor
wash in the background, then traced the leaves, tangled and finished it up with
some extra color using my prismacolor colored pencils.
Interestingly enough I
had started a project with my enrichment class of 7th graders at
school doing the same thing last week. They just are finishing up this week, so
I thought I would share a little bit of their work with you too.
Thanks for stopping by, and for all of your lovely comments!
They do make my day!
Have a great week and Tangle on!
Great colors and great tangle patterns!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - love the vibrant colors over the pastel background
ReplyDeleteYour learners are a promising lot aren't they? There work is brilliant. I really love the vivid colours your have used on your tile - beautifully blended and shaded. What a glorious piece of work.
ReplyDeleteI really like the vibrancy of the colors you achieved in your leaf tile and the way you incorporated them into your tangles. I'm quite impressed by the work of your 7th graders. I didn't think 7th graders could sit still long enough to produce the detailed work you've shared. Happy autumn.
