Welcome back to Laura,
of i am the diva, after her trip to the Moebius Syndrome Conference. We missed
you, but really had fun with the guest posts from Amy and Carolyn! This week’s
challenge, a Duotangle using the letters of our name.
For me that is a K and an
A. Here is my tile for the challenge.
I used Knightsbridge and Aquafleur.
Hubby and I have taken a
bit of time to relax in Lake City, Minnesota recently and enjoyed the beautiful
view out the front window.
I also took some time to
leave a RAZ, Random Act of Zentangle at the local Post Office. Lake City was the home of the inventor
of waterskiing, Ralph Samuelson, and is known as "The
Birthplace of Waterskiing." Here is a mural in the post office depicting
his first waterskiing. Yes they really used a plane, as boat motors at the time
were not fast enough to pull him out of the water.
Here is the tile I
left behind.
Thank you for
stopping by to see my work,
and for the lovely comments that many of you leave.
Have a great week and
Tangle On!
Ooh, what lovely tiles! Your Aquafleur in the initials tile is absolutely stunning! How I wish I lived somewhere nearer - maybe I'd have found your RAZ (I'd certainly go looking after reading this....!) Axxx

ReplyDeleteAwesome Tiles. Your Aquafleur is outstanding, and I love the subtle highlights you put into your Knightsbridge. Your line work is impeccable. Love them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I like this a lot. And the view, it's fantastic. And, isn't it fun to walk away and leave a tile somewhere?

ReplyDeleteThis is a proper little gem of an artwork. I love it.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that's amazing colour work! Is that watercolour or pencil? Your RAZ tile is gorgeous! They will be rapt to have it.
ReplyDeleteZoe, I did this one on a Renaissance tile, with black and brown micron. It's shaded with white Prismacolor color pencil, graphite and a sanguine Prismacolor chalk pencil. Hope this helps! :)
DeleteBeautiful initial tile. The colors accent each other so well. Like how you connected your sections and then shaded in the negative space.
ReplyDeleteA most vivid tile. I love your use of colors.
ReplyDeleteThe plane for water ski - amazing :|)
Love your tile! Those colors make it really pop! Love your RAZ idea very much.
