Weekly Challenge #152

It’s been a crazy week again so far. We are just finished up with another quarter, minus one day, due to no school for extreme cold, last week, and now two days home because of the cold this week. I have been using the time to finish up grades, and also do a bit work that I needed to do around the house. I did have a bit of time to work on the challenge, and also add to my deck to be traded. Here are a couple of ATC’s that use aquafleur.

I also used this tangle on an art hand that I traded with another artist.

Weekly Challenge #151

My greetings, fellow tanglers and friends. The i am the diva challenge from Laura  this week, is to tangle  the Moebius Syndrome Foundations logo in honor of her son, Artoo’s fight with this disease! I couldn’t bear to let Artoo, and his family down so here is my entry. To learn more about this disease or donate to the cause please visit the Moebuis Syndrome Foundation website. 

I also want to share some work that my Middle School students have been doing. Here is the case in the front foyer of the school, showing some of the great work. There are a few different views and there is also a description in the case about what Zentangle is. They really had fun learning about this art form during the quarter.

Weekly Challenge #150

For this weeks i am the diva challenge it was time to commit to a word! I had been thinking on this for a time before the challenge came up, and the word that I have settled on for this year is (insert drum roll here)…

Do, verb, to bring to pass or carry out, perform, decorate, render, finish, exert, exhaust, achieve, finish, serve, abolish, effect, act, manage, arrange, traverse, commit, engage, or bring about.

I figure that this will about cover everything in some form or fashion for the year!

I have wanted to try some Zenspirations dangle designs, by Joanne Fink, for a while and decided this would work for my challenge this week. My tile was done with micron pen and watercolor pencils.

If some of you checked in on my site earlier this year, you have already seen the first part of this work, when I started the first two days in my new calendar! You can see a close up of that part here. Here is the rest of how I finished out the two-page spread. I am using the whole thing for my diva challenge piece, for this week.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to us all! I started off my New Year yesterday, by starting my new Tangle*a*day calendar, by Carole Ohl, CZT. If you don’t already have one you can order them here! A little zensplosion from a pattern by Daniele O’Brien for the new year, and a few Zenflakes, by Sandy Steen Bartholomew to represent the very chilly and cold start to the year here in Minnesota!
