It's a String Thing #48 and Diva Challenge #175

I really liked the tangles and string that was picked out by Adele Bruno, CZT this week for “It’s a String Thing”. I wanted to work some more using the black tiles, and a technique that I picked up at Tangle U this year. Here is my tile for this challenge this week. The tangles used are:
Purk and
Printemps - Official Zentangle® patterns
Pippin by Juliet Herring
Pressed Wood by CZT Margaret Bremner

The challenge from i am the diva this week is a UMT Challenge brought to us by Henrike Bratz. We were to use her tangle Crux. I had a good time with this tangle and it was a fun one to learn. Here is my tile for this weeks challenge.

My thanks for stopping by and for the comments you leave!
They make my day!
Have a great weekend and keep tangling!

  1. Your Crux reminds me of a bag of delicious candy! It isn't very often the bag is better than the sweets, but you did it!

  2. They're great. I really like how you used Crux, especially how you handled that portion at the top of the bottom section. Sometimes spaces like that are tough for me, but you handled it beautifully!

And I love what you did with the String Thing challenge! Your placements are great and your designs drawn lovely. But those colors are fabulous! Color is something I struggle with, so I usually stick to black and white. I'm impressed whenever someone can give such dimension to color, like you did. And the empty space frames it all so well.

    Thanks for sharing!

  9. I really love the Crux tile. The way you made it curve and almost rise from the surface is just sooooo fine. Excellent.
