Weekly Challenge #255

Greetings and Happy Friday fellow tanglers!

This week over at i am the diva, the challenge is Ghosts of Tangles Past. I had to do some digging to find my stash of old tiles but did mange to find them. I hate when I put stuff in the safe place, and then forget where the safe place is! The tile on the left was done in August 2012 and the right, February 2016. I hope there is some growth there. The tangles used are Hollibaugh, Raddox, Printempts, Crescent Moon, and Bronx Cheer. The Bronx Cheer in the first one was used to hide a little mistake, on the second one it’s not.

Also have to share what my 6th graders at school did. We got into the Valentangle spirit last week and they completed their first ever Zia’s. I started to put them in the typical ensemble so we could all ooh and ah over them, but the kids started reforming it into a heart shape. I was proud of how well all of them did on their first try!

Thanks for stopping by, and for all of your lovely comments!
They do make my day!
Have a great week and Tangle on!

Weekly Challenge #254

Greetings fellow Tanglers!  The weather people had it all wrong with the amount of snow last week. Where I live we had a foot! So yes, it was multiple shoveling so that you didn’t have to try and move it all at once. As usual, it was back to work the next morning with not even a late start. Made for a really long day, as I had to be up and out the door extra early in order to make it on time. The usual 25-minute commute turned in to an hour and 15 minutes!  Everything was back to normal quickly, so you have to love the folks that move all the snow!

The challenge this week over at i am the diva, is to make some Valentangles. Love doing these, and am off to a later start this year, so I will continue making more this week. Here are my first two.

Tangles used are Heartline, Caught, Yincut, Tipple, and Paradox.

I worked on last weeks Tickled to Tangle challenge and didn’t get that finished until yesterday, so I am adding that one here, since it fits the diva challenge too.

I used String #130, from Tanglepatterns, which appeared in my work a few weeks back during challenge #250. Tangles used are Luv-a, Join and Heartbox. Enjoy!

Weekly Challenge #253

Greeting fellow Tanglers!
I am awaiting the start of the snow as we are in a winter storm warning here in Minnesota, we are going to get hit by winter storm Kayla! (I think it is so funny that they now name the storms!) No one seems to know how much we are going to get, but I have heard anywhere from 3 to 10 inches mentioned, depending who you are listening to, and where the line cuts. We haven’t had any large snowfalls this year, so in a strange sort of way I am looking forward to it, with the exception of the commute to and from school. It will not be nearly enough to call off school for us. Oh how I do miss those random snow days that one would get when you are more rural. My sister who teaches in northern Iowa already knew last night that she would not have school today as they are in a blizzard warning.
Moving on to the diva challenge this week using Molygon. I am still working on getting the ends of mine the way that I would like them and some of the pieces are a bit wonky, but for what it’s worth here are two tiles that I worked on this week.

Here is another playing with all sorts of fills for the inside of the shape. I think that I am going to paste this into my Zentangle book and keep adding more as I think of them, or see them in others work, so I can have a whole selection of possibilities.
