Weekly Challenge #285

The challenge from the diva was to relax and get back some of that Zen while tangling this week. I almost always tangle this way. This past year especially. It has been my escape from the dealings with my husband’s dementia and all that that entails. I started this on out with a basic string, and used some of my go to tangles, ones that I didn’t have to think about.

Tangles used; Onamato, Printempts, Paradox, Purk, Yincut, Poke Leaf, and Poke Root.

For the second little bijou I just started without a string and let it go where it wanted to go.

Tangles used: Tipple, Printempts, Zinger, Poke Leaf, Herzlbee, Schnucki-bee-Doo, Msst.

Thanks for stopping by, and for all of your lovely comments!
They do make my day!
Have a great weekend and Tangle on!

  1. Beautiful tiles. I think this basic way of tangling is different from when you plan an outcome. I feel harmony looking at this.

  4. Nice pieces. It amazes me to see how so many tangles can fit into a Bijou tile. I have two tins of them and have never even tried using one. You may have motivated me to do so.

  5. Wonderful, classic Zentangle tiles. I love where your Bijou tile wanted to go. :) And "Schnucki-bee-Doo"!!! Hadn't heard of it, but the Wizard knew (my pet name for google.com). I love it! With stepout in hand, I think I'll go tangle for awhile ... Thank you Kate! xoxo

  6. Both are beautiful. I'm so pleased to hear that tangling (in the way it was ment to be done) helps you in this difficult part of your life.

  7. We share some go to tangles, I see! Zentangling really is an excellent way to take care of ourselves. Its great that you usually do it as a meditation. I find it helpful, too. These are lovely tiles.
