Weekly Challenge #202

Hi everyone. It’s been a while… The end of 2014 and the beginning of this year have been a rough one for me, and I have not had time to participate in the challenges, and just a bit of time here and there, to try to save my sanity with a wee bit of tangling. My dear husband ended up in the hospital right after Christmas. He was diagnosed with dementia this past spring, and had a major hiccup with his disease, following the holiday. After 2 ½ weeks in the hospital, we had to move him into memory care, which is like assisted living, but for those with memory issues. It’s been a whirlwind and my life came to a halt while all this was going on. I made the time this week to try to get back to a bit of normal, and do the diva challenge. It’s a DuoTangle week using Margaret Bremner’s tangles, Chebucto and Copada. Both of these were new to me and it is always fun to try new things. I can see that these are going to be put into rotation in my work! Here is my tile using these two tangles.

Here are a few more that I have done here and there, to try and keep my sanity!

The last one is a Random Act of Zentangle or RAZ that I left for someone to find. Thanks for stopping by and for any comments that you make.

Have a great week and Tangle On!

  15. Zentangle is amazing when it comes to finding a little calm (I was just tangling in the dentist's waiting room). Your tiles are lovely. Praying for all you may need during this difficult time.

  16. Nice work on the tiles. I like the challenge tile and the Aquafleur the best. Glad you are able to get some calming through your tangling. It is a great tool to have. Will thinking of you and your family as you deal with your husband's dementia. Is a frustrating thing, in some ways more for the family than the individual. Hope you have all the other supports to help you deal with it.

  17. You created some beautiful tiles and I love how you slowly bigified (hm, is that spelled correct?) the tangles of the first one. I am so sorry to hear this horrible news about your husband. I do understand that you write to try to keep your sanity in this time. I hope you have loving family or/and friends to support you now and in the near future. My thoughts are with you and him.
